Since my last update I have had three great weeks of training and growing as an athlete. We have conducted our bio mechanical analysis of my throw which the data will be presented to my coach and I on Wednesday the 18th. From this, we hope to learn several places where I can improve as well as find out what makes me the type of thrower I am and what makes me successful. I also have had great training sessions at the Cobequid Spartans Gymnastics Club as well as continued treatment from Legge's Health Clinic. I feel the healthiest I have ever felt going into a competition season which I think has giving me even more confidence. This time next week, Monday March 23rd, I will be heading into Pennsylvania to stop for my first leg of driving. From there I will continue to South Carolina, my Alma matter, to stay from Tuesday until Saturday morning. During this time I will be training at Winthrop University where I spent five great years. I will also be catching up with old friends, teammates and coaches. From Rock Hill, South Carolina we will be heading to Clermont, Florida. This will be my home for the next five weeks. I have several mini goals and dates marked on my calender and my first significant marking is only 26 days away. This is when I will take to the field in Knoxville, Tennessee for my first meet of the year.
Once again without you, I would not be able to pursue my dream of making team Canada. I am forever grateful for your support and I will make you proud.
Full Steam Ahead

In just a little over four weeks I will be heading to Claremont Florida for my Spring training camp. But before I head to Florida I have four solid weeks of training still in Truro and Moncton. On March 5th I will be getting video analyzed by Zenolink. In this process we will be able to break my throw down into super slow speed to find out several aspects of my throwing motion. We will be able to find out my throwing speed, hip speed, acceleration and deceleration phases of my throw. The next four weeks are crucial to set me up for my first outdoor meet in April. I will also head to Fredericton where my strength coach is located to test results to see if I have been improving in strength, speed, power, acceleration and flexibility. My schedule at the current moment involves throwing the javelin twice a week, strength training four times a week, speed and conditioning practices two times a week, and technical/ medicine ball practices two times a week. Along with all of the training, I visit Legge Health Clinic twice a week for acupuncture, physio, and massage. One of the newest but most challenging and exciting parts of my training involves doing conditioning, strength training and flexibility work at the Cobequid Spartans gymnastic club. I really enjoy this because it is something that I struggle at and I see it as a huge challenge but also as something that is helping my throwing in major ways.
I really want to thank everyone who has been with me on this journey so far. I can't thank you enough for your donations and support. I look forward to the next four weeks for now so that I do not get too far ahead of myself. My goal is to make the Pan Am Games but I have several smaller goals along the way that will lead me to my major goal of representing Canada.
Thank you again
